The Cost of Corrosion:
$276 Billion… in 2002. The study, generated by Gerry Koche of DNV-GL, studied 57 industries in the United States and determined the percentage of corrosion costs that each incurred per year. In 2015, that cost is somewhere in the neighborhood of $540 Billion. A revised report is currently in the works to bring the report up to current dollar amounts.
